Evening Sky at the Jinney Ring
Hanbury, Worcs, 30th Oct 2012
Canon 500D, EFS 15-85 f/3.5-5.6, 1/200 at f/5, ISO 100 (flash)
I have photographed the ducks at the Jinney Ring Craft Centre several times, but wanted to try something different this afternoon. I hoped to capture something of the autumnal feel of the place, and so started looking less at the ducks themselves and more at the setting: the sun's reflection on the ponds, and the light pouring through a fenced-off paddock with the Malvern hills in the background. These two images are below; but as the sun fell lower, and the ducks began to settle down, I took this image of the whole scene - with the last sunlight dappling the clouds above, and the flash showing the ducks in their own spotlight down below.
